Once you've started planning and have some of the bigger details in place, you can start working on your questionnaire. It helps me learn about your plans, your priorities, and everything I need to prepare for your wedding day.
If you're not ready yet, that's completely okay. The questionnaire will automatically be sent to you six months before your wedding as a reminder. It's also helpful if you've started filling it out early but took a break along the way.

I try to keep evenings reserved for family time, so messages received after 8:00 PM will typically be answered the following day. Since many weekends are spent photographing weddings, replies may occasionally take a little longer, but I'll always get back to you as soon as I can.

Meaningful Details
One of my favorite ways to create iconic photos is to have your guests toss rice paper confetti or dried flower petals as you walk back down the aisle together.
The Ceremony Exit
Setting aside just 10-15 minutes around sunset creates some of the most beautiful portraits of the day and gives you a chance to sneak away for a few quiet moments together.
Golden Hour Portraits
Grab two inexpensive bottles, one for practice and one for the photo. They're perfect during getting ready, with your wedding party, or for nighttime portraits and are always a blast!

What if it rains?
Rain happens, and that's okay! While I always hope for sunshine for you, I actually don't mind rainy wedding days. Sometimes they end up looking the most magical. I always bring professional lighting, so whether we're under a covered porch, inside a dark room, or embracing the rain itself, we can still create beautiful images. If you're open to it, a few clear umbrellas can also make for some really fun photos (I keep a few in my car just in case!).
Do you help with posing?
Absolutely! You don't have to worry about what to do or how to pose. I'll guide you through the entire process in a way that feels natural and comfortable, while also making space for the genuine moments that happen in between.
What happens if you have an emergency and can't photograph our wedding?
In over 15 years, I've only had to miss 1 weekend of weddings, due to emergency surgery (I was back to my next weddings the following week). Before I even contacted my couples, I already had my trusted associate photographers lined up and ready to go with all the day's details, giving them one less thing to worry about during an already stressful time. I have a strong network of experienced professional photographers who share my approach and, just as importantly, my values, and if a true emergency ever prevented me from photographing your wedding, I'd make sure you were in great hands. I'd still be behind the scenes handling everything else, including editing your images and delivering your gallery.
How many photos will we receive?
I guarantee at least 100 edited images per hour of coverage, but I don't limit the number of photos you receive. Every wedding is different, so the final number will naturally vary based on your timeline, the events of the day, the size of your wedding party and families, whether you have an additional photographer, and countless other factors. After your wedding, I carefully remove test shots, duplicates, blinks, and anything that doesn't meet my standards. Everything else is individually edited and included in your gallery. If it's a great photo, you'll get it.
Can we print our photos anywhere?
Absolutely! Your gallery includes full-resolution downloads and a print release, so you're welcome to print your photos anywhere you'd like. If you're printing them yourself, I recommend Mpix.com, a professional photo lab with a consumer line that consistently delivers beautiful color and excellent print quality. I generally recommend avoiding drugstores or big-box retailers like Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, or similar one-hour labs, as they don't have the same quality standards for color, contrast, sharpness, or paper. Of course, you're also welcome to order professional prints, canvases, albums, and other heirloom products directly through your gallery for the highest quality and convenience.
Can we order an album later?
You sure can! Whether your collection includes an album or not, additional albums can always be purchased later. Maybe your guests were extra generous, maybe you simply want one after seeing your photos, or maybe you'd like to surprise your parents with a copy. Whenever you're ready, I'll walk you through the design process. In the meantime, you'll find more information on album options and customization in the Your Wedding Album section of this guide.
Can we add additional coverage or another photographer later?
In most cases, yes! As long as I'm available, you're welcome to add additional coverage or an additional photographer before your wedding. I recommend letting me know as soon as you can so I can reserve the time and finalize my team. You'll find more information about these and other add-ons in the Additional Services section of this guide.
